Per-device power draw
| Device | Max draw | Typical draw |
|---|---|---|
| UG-101 gateway | 36 W | — |
| UAP-101 indoor AP | 24 W | 7 W or less |
| UAP-102 outdoor AP | 24 W | 10 W or less |
| 24-port PoE switch | 410 W | ≈ 50 W with no PoE attached |
| 48-port PoE switch | 410 W | ≈ 75 W with no PoE attached |
The switch manufacturer doesn’t publish a separate base draw for the 24-port and 48-port switches. The ≈ 50 W / ≈ 75 W numbers above are estimates for the chassis draw with no PoE devices connected — actual draw on a populated switch is dominated by the PoE budget you’re using.
Sizing a UPS
For UPS sizing on a typical site:
- Add up the max draw for every Uplevel device.
- Round generously upward — UPS efficiency drops off the closer you run to its rated capacity, and PoE-heavy switch loads spike on power-up.
- Don’t forget the modem and any non-Uplevel gear (NVR, server, workstation that needs protected power).
